We are often asked what the biggest misconception about the cell tower industry is. The misconception existing in the industry is that the value of the cell tower is more than the value of the land that houses it. Location matters most, more so, than the steel structure protruding from the ground.
Cell tower companies will claim they have the ability to relocate a tower at their choosing. However, once a cell tower is established, that location becomes more valuable than the cell tower itself because relocating the tower is then economically & technologically problematic for the cell tower company. The cell tower and telecom companies need you more than you need them. And remember, these companies have experts working for them, shouldn’t you?
