A 100-foot AT&T cell tower has made a temporary home on a gas station’s property in Ridgewood, New Jersey, without formal approvals by the local zoning board. It appears temporary, as it is currently affixed to a trailer, close to a permanent 120-foot cell tower already in the area. According to the Village Engineer, “No one asked permission or if any land use requirements needed to be met. Not sure why someone thought of placing the tower without planning board or zoning board of adjustment approvals.”
This is not the typical procedure of cell tower placement process, therefore, the owner of the gas station property needs to seek proper representation to discuss potential revenue from the use of his/ her property.
