AT&T has issued a proposal to Norge Ski Club, located in Fox River Gorge, Illinois, to construct a cell tower on the club’s property. The telecom company says there is a significant need for wireless improvement for area consumers; however , many residents near the ski club are not in favor of the new 120-foot monopole. According to Northwest Herald, “The investment in the tower, which would be more than $500,000, would help improve coverage along Route 14 and Route 22 and up to the Fox River.”

If the cell tower proposal receives final approval, the ski club must seek proper representation to assist  them throughout the lease negotiation process. Vertical Consultants has worked with all types of landowners who are being paid below-market value for the use of their property. The primary reason for this is the lack of information and representation provided for these entities. Ample information and representation from a true landowner advocate are key factors these industries need in order to optimize the use of their properties by the telecom giants like AT&T.
