A tower company has issued a proposal to construct a 160-foot cell tower on private property in Sanford, Maine. Many residents are unhappy about the plan, as they are concerned since the property is located in a conservation focus area. According to Sanford Planning Director, โThe plan Mariner (the tower company) presented to the city was consistent with the comprehensive plan and land use in a conservation focus area, and that Mariner would have to obtain the necessary federal permits before the plan could go forward.โ
If the Sanford City Council approves the tower companyโs proposal, the landowner must seek proper representation to assist him throughout the lease negotiation process.
