After experiencing weather-related emergencies, the Township of Randolph, located in New Jersey, is considering adding a new cell tower to municipal property. Currently, the township has several “dead spots”, which can hinder communication needs in the event of another crisis situation. According to the Randolph Reporter, “Officials realized dependable cell phone service is a critical part of being able to communicate with township departments and the residents to provide public safety during and immediately following an emergency like last year’s Hurricane Sandy, or the damaging early snowfalls that have arrived in late October that was too much of a burden on trees still bearing foliage.”
If Randolph Township officials decide to go forward with the cell tower installment, then it is important that they seek proper representation to assist them through the lease negotiation process.
