Property owners with AT&T cell towers received notices dated October 25, 2013 concerning the recent sell of their towers. Landowners should be aware of how the transition from AT&T to the purchaser of these towers will directly impact them. Some landlords are being asked to sign these letters, which will waive certain rights under their current lease terms.
It is extremely important that all property owners seek counsel prior to signing ANY agreement, to determine what options they have now and going forward regarding not only the value of the cell tower lease, but also how AT&T’s sell of the tower will impact them now and in the coming decades.
